Mystery_of_incarnation
I was fortunate enough to catch one of our most senior monks yesterday before he left for India. I asked him a tiny nagging question that I’ve had since I started reading up on Buddhism and Hindu Philosophy: What’s the difference between Salvation and Liberation?

He says Salvation is Moksha while Liberation is Mukti. Moksha is uniting and merging with God while Mukti is freedom from the bondages of Maya, Karma, Reincarnation, etc. Given a choice between Moksha and Mukti, one should go for Moksha, and it can be reached by anyone who is devoted to God.
